Northwestern University Master’s Documentary

• Directed, produced, filmed and edited a 30-minute documentary about the history of Chicago’s Chinatown and the cultural heritage of Chinese Americans, leading the crew of three through the creative process by drafting shooting scripts, building creative conceptions and managing the post-production.

• As script writer, independently wrote the 15-page two-column script to tell the stories of three distinct characters.

• Hosted the interviews and walked the audience through the story as the on-air personality.​

• Filmed, wrote, edited, reported live and anchored ten news stories on CAN TV, covering multiple disciplines from politics and business to lifestyle and entertainment, aired every week during prime time in Chicago.

• Worked in a quick turnaround newsroom to pitch stories and operate in on set production and news writing with efficiency.

Talk with World Leaders -Phoenix TV

• Produced, directed, wrote, and edited over ten episodes for Talk with World Leaders program as primary directing producer, including six globally exclusive interview episodes with high-profile politicians and the station’s first interview episode with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang; two episodes recognized and distributed in the station as video production and visual storytelling study samples. Including:

• Produced three news packages for Phoenix Evening Express, breaking news on the Israeli Palestinian conflict and the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état.
